I just want people to know before reading this, that I’m not an expert by any means don’t be afraid to point out something that you believe is wrong.

people like to see feminism in waves.
I personally like to see these waves as when we get peoples attention for instant’s

“oh women what equal pay now…..that’s a wave, they want abortions…….that’s a wave”
and so on………and from my experience alot of people think because women have got to the peek of peoples attention, that has solved the problem

I stumbled (tumbled?) across this new blog the other day. Everyone should check it out - the writer is young, radical and articulate, and writes in a very accessible way. I’ll reblog the other post from the blog in a sec. Their view of “waves” reflects a conversation I was having with friends the other day about how ‘conveniently’ (for patriarchy) the wave metaphor suggests that as each new wave arrives, the previous waves are over…
